About us
The Aurora Acres LLC consists of a husband and wife team, two adventure loving boys, and 4 lovely reindeer in northern Wisconsin. Being a family who loves the outdoors, Scandinavian culture, Viking history, Christmas and animals – Reindeer were simply destined to cross our path! Our mission is to see faces light up with the magic that Reindeer bring and sparking the imagination with stories that create an escape from the every day world.
Meet the Reindeer
Hygge – (pronouced Hooga)
Head herd reindeer. Keeps everyone in line yet will surprise you with lots of hugs and kisses. A no nonsense kinda girl but still goofy and lovable. She entertains us all day long with her carefree attitude. Named after the danish word Hygge, meaning cozy winter togetherness.
Norse
He is the big boy in the group but is a big baby and a sweet gentle giant. Willingly lets both ladies boss him around and is happiest when lounging. His name Norse means “relating to medieval Norway or Scandinavia”
Essi
A dainty package – if she were another creature she’d be a fairy. Dont let her sweetness fool you, shes the sneakiest/naughtiest in the group. But somehow she never gets blamed for all the mischief due to those big doe eyes. Her name is a derivative of Esther which is Persian for star (the star in our aurora).
Jupiter
Sweet as apple pie, this boy is our baby. He is the first to say hello and loves to walk by our side. He may or may not be a little spoiled but he certainly hasn’t complained about that yet.
